It’s common to talk yourself out of your suitability for a graduate placement before you’ve even entered into the application process. We all doubt ourselves. The important thing is to recognize when we are doing this and to then turn these thoughts around.
The fact of the matter is that there will be many “right” candidates for one role. A shortlist is effectively a group of “right” candidates. Each could carry out the job; it’s generally a candidate’s personal attributes rather than technical know-how that ultimately end up differentiating them.
Believing that you are this winning candidate comes down to mindset. There are certain methods you can use to help you build a robust mindset. continue
